David Nowak – Co-Founder and Managing Partner
Since the release of David's book in 1999, Configuring SAP R/3 FI/CO, he has received national attention as a recognized thought leader in system and process design, development and optimization of the SAP FI/CO suite. For many years, David has been the featured expert speaker at many national conferences and seminars that specialize in the SAP FI/CO suite.
Prior to co-founding Virtuoso in 1999, he was employed by Fortune 500 firms as Principle Consultant, Senior Financial Analyst, Project Team Lead, Project Manager, and Principal Trainer. David has led projects with Fortune 500 firms in the service, manufacturing, distributing, and high-technology industries.
Publications: As co-author of the break-through book Configuring SAP R/3 FI/CO, (published by Sybex computer books, ISBN 0782125972) he introduced the first comprehensive book that teaches the reader detailed configuration techniques focusing on the most popular components of the FI/CO suite. The book includes detailed information on: FI Enterprise Structure, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Management, Treasury, CO Enterprise Structure, Cost Element Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), and Investment Management.

SAP Project Experience Synopsis: He is well versed in the ASAP methodology and other leading iterative project methodologies. David is a certified FI/CO consultant with 10 years of SAP configuration and implementation experience that spans the entire FI/CO system environment. Assignments focused on design, scope, configuration, testing and post-implementation support of complex R/3 capitol projects that have exceeded $40 million. He has a Masters Degree in Finance in addition to seasoned leadership skills as a result of being assigned roles over the course of 10 years that have had an ascending increase in responsibility, scope and complexity.

Since the release of Quentin's book in 1999, Configuring SAP R/3 FI/CO, he has been nationally recognized as a functional SAP FI/CO and Treasury configuration and business process expert. As a member of the Editorial Board of the publication FI/CO Expert he has continued to solidify his reputation as a knowledge expert in state-of-the-art FI/CO and Treasury optimization.
Quentin Hurst has specialized in the SAP Financials arena since 1997. Prior to co-founding Virtuoso in 1999, he was employed with “Big 4” professional services firms. He has led projects with Fortune 100 firms in the service, manufacturing, distributing, and high-technology industries.
